News: Evangelical Environmentalists

BBC | US evangelicals seek green laws

Conservation is a conservative notion after all.

So what would Jesus drive? My guess is he'd take the bus and hoof it from there. He also rode a donkey, but only on special occasions. Bear in mind that in his day all modes of transportation were bio-degradable, but they did produce greenhouse gases.
"And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth."
(Revelation 11:18, NASB, emphasis mine)

  1. I have recently been thinking about what the Adventist health message could say to the ecological crisis in the world. We often limit the health message to what I as an indivudal eats and drinks, but could we not also look at the corporate affects. For example the fact that vegetarianism (I know we all are not vegetarian) is a more cost effective way to feed the world.

If we turn to corporate issues then we may ask the question, does Adventist's health concern, includin g the health message, translate into a desire to limit health destroying environmental concerns?

Is our message solely to individual concerns or does it include corporate concerns?
